Pennsylvania Lt. Gov. John Fetterman on Saturday hit again at Trump and Republican assembly appointee Mehmet Oz after both men hurled a collection of attacks at him all the way through a GOP rally in Wilkes-Barre.
"More and more lies from Trump + Dr. Oz in Wilkes-Barre tonight," John Fetterman wrote. "I mean, Trump literally called me a 'raging lunatic' and said I would 'Bring death and destruction' to PA. Yeahhh… Ok."
Fetterman, the democratic senate appointee who has perpetually led Oz in polling in the past months, spoke back to Trump, calling him "spoiled" and accusing him of using drugs through tweeting that the two Republicans were spewing lies.
Oz, a cardiothoracic surgeon and general tv personality, narrowly won a GOP primary back in May over longtime financial executive David McCormick. And Fetterman, without problems, gained the Democratic primary over Rep. Conor Lamb and state Rep. Malcolm Kenyatta.
Four months ago, Fetterman suffered a stroke, and after spending weeks recovering, he resumed his campaign actions last month.
Throughout that time, Fetterman's campaign launched an extreme social media strategy that referred to Oz relocating from New Jersey to Pennsylvania to run for the assembly seat, to try and damage his credibility with voters.
